1. Overview

YouLeft ("we", "our", or "us") is a browser extension and service that captures web content and stores structured summaries in your personal Google Drive. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Data We Collect

• Google Account InformationYour email address and Google account ID, used to authenticate you and associate your captured data with your account.
• Browsing Activity (on demand only)Page URLs, titles, and extracted content — only when you explicitly trigger a capture. YouLeft does not passively monitor or record your browsing history.
• Google Drive DataYouLeft writes structured notes to a dedicated folder in your Google Drive. We access only the folder we create and never read or modify other files in your Drive.
• Usage DataBasic service logs (timestamps, error rates) for debugging and reliability. These logs do not contain page content.

3. How We Use Your Data

• —To authenticate you and provide the YouLeft service
• —To write captured page summaries to your Google Drive
• —To classify and organise your captured content into relevant folders
• —To improve service reliability and fix bugs

4. Data Storage & Retention

Your captured content is stored exclusively in your own Google Drive — we do not maintain a copy of your captured page data on our servers. Authentication tokens are stored securely and expire automatically.

You can delete your YouLeft data at any time by removing the YouLeft/ folder from your Google Drive and revoking YouLeft's access in your Google Account settings.

5. Third-Party Services

• —Google OAuth 2.0: Used for authentication and Drive access.
• —Google Drive API: Used to write and read your memory files.
• —Google Gemini API: Used to classify and summarise captured content. Content is sent to Gemini for processing and is subject to Google's API terms.
• —Supabase: Used to store account metadata and authentication state.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to operate YouLeft.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• —Delete your account and all associated data
• —Revoke YouLeft's access to your Google account at any time via Google Account settings
